It's Understood was launched in Bermuda in 2003, and in late 2006, moved to Waterloo, Ontario in Canada. A dynamic small city a one hour drive west of Toronto, it is home to universities, high tech innovators, manufacturing and agricultural enterprises alike. We've kept our international perspective - and international clients.

Our Head Coach, Sue Johnston, has been working remotely since 1995, when she was a “teleworking pioneer” at Canada’s Bank of Montreal and learned that where you are is much less important than what you do. Today, most jobs can be completed without a physical meeting. Still, if we need to get together, Waterloo is well-served by air, rail and highways. We're in the Eastern Time Zone, along with New York and Toronto, five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time, and 13 behind Hong Kong.
